Lauren McFerrin
Severe childhood trauma survivor, I experienced sexual, physical and mental assault from age 4 to 16 years of age and later lost my son to a brain stem abnormality when he was just 23 months old.
Four years ago I halted life as I knew it and decided to devote myself to healing. Really, I just wanted to feel better. I was weighed down by multiple broken marriages, the death of my son and my lack of family support.
After 35+ years of talk therapy, I needed more. I started EMDR therapy, did Ketamine to reach my subconscious, moved to a clothing-optional resort where I could be safely naked and experimented with raising my consciousness through psychedelics and meditation.
During this time, I wrote a book, a redefinition of what it means to be a “Good Girl”. I worked with Voyage Media to turn that into a Show Series and I’m working on finishing my book, a fictional account inspired by my real-life experiences living naked and finding myself.
I’m also working on summarizing all the things I learned, in hopes that it will help others get out from underneath complex PTSD and trauma. Follow me to hear more and be part of the community living with CPTSD, PTSD and sexual trauma. Coming soon, a Podcast to discuss it all, and Healing Chapters, where you can join me in learning what I found out.
